The trip from the Monteverde area to Santa Teresa is a 153 km ride that lasts approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes, including a 70-minute ferry ride from Puntarenas to Paquera during the trip. Passengers unload from the van to enjoy the view of the Gulf of Nicoya from the deck and cabin area of the ferry.
After 5 passengers an extra fee of $15 is charged per extra person per trip.
